Get A Grip (On Who Has A Grip On You!)

In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he warns them not to trust in their own efforts and righteousness, but instead to put their faith in Christ. His own bio was quite impressive (a top notch pedigree, lineage, and education!) and yet he counted it as nothing compared to knowing Jesus. His encouragement to them (and us) is to forget the past, strain towards what is ahead, and press on in perseverance towards all that is offered to us in Christ.
